I am having problems with Vista's SAPI 8.0 in inproc/dictation mode, and need some help.
When recording the recognized WAV audio, I only get a part of the recognized audio, i.e. the recognized audio stream (from ISpeechRecoResult Audio) starts well after the beginning of the audio. Does anyone know why?
This only happens when the SAPI recognizes a word or phrase registered in a grammar rule set. However, ISpeechRecoResult always has the whole recognized audio stream if a word or phrase not in the grammar rule is recognized.
Also, does anyone know how to monitor the audio stream (for file writing) even when the recognition is not started (and of course dictation state is active as well)?
Is this a compatibility issue? Does the code works on the former version of Windows? If the issue is about using the SAPI, I recommend you post on the Speech API newsgroup to involve more experts since this forum is mainly for compatibility issues on Windows development.
