Unable to load websites : Preview portal website error message

Question

I created and later deleted a website (azure preview portal). Looks like it wasn't deleted properly. Now when I access preview portal, I see an error message next to the "Web Sites" item saying that "unable to load websites" . How do I fix this ?

I am using "Windows azure preview portal"
