What CPU Processor

Question

Nominally what CPU?   The only found reference to speed (1.6 GHz).   Is that a Xeon, Itanium, ... ?

All datacenter uses AMD Processor.

I ran CPU-Z on my Web Role via RDP. The result is AMD Opteron 2347 HE Quad-Core 1.9GHZ CPU. But it only allocated 1 core to my small instance.

I'd also caution against any attempt to code to a specific CPU. The hardware may not, and likely isn't the exactly the same through the datacenter or between centers. Additionally, this type of hardware linking sort of goes against the intent of PaaS. So you could run into trouble.

Your results seem to indicate 1.9GHz while the spec even now mentions a 1.6GHz CPU. I wonder if results changed almost a year after your post.

Can you please run the test again or give simple instructions how to "run CPU-Z on the WebRole via RDP"?
