hadoop - Windows HDFS Managed library

Question

Hi,

Blog -http://blogs.msdn.com/b/carlnol/archive/2012/02/29/hadoop-net-hdfs-file-access.aspx

Talks about library of C# to access hadoop HDFS file system. I am not able to find the this library.

Anyone can point me the location where I can get it?

Hi kunal,

According to your description, i find some interesting message from this blog, it's says

"If you grab the latest installment of Microsoft Distribution of Hadoop you will notice, in addition to the C library, a Managed C++ solution for HDFS file access. This solution now enables one to consume HDFS files from within a .Net environment. "

Do you ever grab the lastest installment of Microsoft Distribution of Hadoop now? If not, please try to install it first.

Hey Arwind,

I already have invitation code and can login to hadooponazure.com. I have also gone through some of the samples.

My requirement is, I want to access HDFS files in my C# mapper EXE therefore I am looking for this download library. Unfortunately on the hadoop Azure portal I could not find required installment. The download section has only ODBC installments. In all of the below mentioned section HDFS Managed Library could not be found.

If you RDP into the headnode you can find the source at: C:\Apps\dist\contrib\WinLibHdfs\src
