How to implement alert in windows azure application with asp.net mvc

Question

Hi

i m developing one job portal site in windows azure with asp.net MVC 2.

in that candidate connected to other candidate .

one candidate create any task in scheduler than set alert to other candidate and mail send to other candidate.

so any service available in windows azure like any (notification service or else) to send mails and set alerts??

 

please help me to solve this problem

Windows Azure does not have any built-in notification services or email service. If you want to send emails, you may need to use third-party email services or your own on-premise email service. Please refer to the following resources for detail:

1.       If these are simple mails with not much content, can you try exploring mailto:   tag provided by HTML . make it action of some hidden control and invoke on some event.

 If not then

2.       Having your SMTP server to relay through , this is the easiest but for your case does not seem good enough

3.       Using MS exchange online which again is a service on cloud

think it is the most reliable however can be costlier than third party SMTP offers

4.       There are many third party SMTP vendor who can do job for us at low cost , however you would need to check their credibility.
