A VMRole that runs fine otherwise keeps having the Windows Azure Remote Access Service terminate over and over again. I cannot start the service manually. I've tried rebooting the box to no avail. Has anyone seen this? Has anyone resolved this issue?

I tried to fix it by doing a repair of the VM integration components but that prompted Azure to reimage the VMrole.

    Hi,

Since the issue cannot be reproduced at my side, I would like to suggest you to check if the suggestions on http://techyfreak.blogspot.com/2011/01/unable-to-connect-to-azure-vm-role-for.html work for you.

    Best Regards,

    Ming Xu.

    Did not help.

I've built several VM images now with the Azure 1.6 SDK and I've noticed it happening again. Any further advice?

    Thanks

    J. Breeze,

the solution that Ming suggested should be applied to the base vhd image. I hope you tried it that way only.

It looks like that solution does not apply. There is no problem remoting to a vmrole machine and no delay.
