The problem is on the client side. Can you compare the configuration and code between the console application and the ASP.NET application? Are there any differences?
Lante, shanaolanxing This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.Fri, 03 Jul 2009 09:07:17 Z2009-07-03T09:07:17Zhttp://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/windowsazure/thread/7aaa390a-e870-4d16-8715-66aec70825d5#9df797a0-6434-48af-a0c9-b8577a2141e2http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/windowsazure/thread/7aaa390a-e870-4d16-8715-66aec70825d5#9df797a0-6434-48af-a0c9-b8577a2141e2nikhil_chinchwadehttp://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Profile/en-US/?user=nikhil_chinchwadeError consuming cloud WCF through ASP.NET client but it works with the console based clienthey thanks for replying:). I have already compared two of the configuration files and those look more than similar :). Does anyone have any idea regarding this??Mon, 06 Jul 2009 05:46:03 Z2009-07-06T05:46:03Zhttp://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/windowsazure/thread/7aaa390a-e870-4d16-8715-66aec70825d5#0305962e-3b72-444d-bb3c-8d2a8316fb0chttp://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/windowsazure/thread/7aaa390a-e870-4d16-8715-66aec70825d5#0305962e-3b72-444d-bb3c-8d2a8316fb0cYi-Lun Luohttp://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Profile/en-US/?user=Yi-Lun%20LuoError consuming cloud WCF through ASP.NET client but it works with the console based clientAre you behind a proxy? My client application is running in corpnet and trying to consume WCF service on azure. It was somehow related to proxy servers. But i am still not sure why it was working with console application. The issue was with IAS server. Either my IIS could not find the IAS server or IAS server has some firewall configuration rules. Installing Firewall client management tool and enabling it allowed me to solve the problem. Any clarifications on this? Why this happenes? If this is the case, you can refer to http://blogs.msdn.com/stcheng/archive/2008/12/03/wcf-how-to-supply-dedicated-credentials-for-webproxy-authentication.aspx to see if it solves the problem.
Lante, shanaolanxing This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.Tue, 07 Jul 2009 10:16:27 Z2009-07-07T10:16:27Z
