How to change screen resolution in Windows 8?
-
Thursday, September 22, 2011 11:48 PMI want to change my resolution to my native screen resolution (1680x1050 60hz) but I don't have that option. instead I have to choose from 800x600, 1024x728, 1280x1024, 1600x1200, and 1920x1440 (at 64hz). How do I change it to my native screen resolution if I don't have the option there?

As far as I know , Resolution UI shows the supported resolution sent by device only . Resolution for a device depends on the screen and video card .
I looked the intel site and found that there are some devices are not showing complete list of supported resolution . Intel released its driver for those devices.

I tried installing the monitor drivers but it keeps telling me "windows has determined the driver software for your device is up to date." My monitor is a Dell E228WFP.
