When I first started making a Metro app, when I was running the app it was also installing it in my Start screen as a real app available however now it's not installing it in the start screen and I'm wondering what I did to break this.

I would like the app I build to be available in Start screen even after closing VS
I tried the Deploy but even thought it says Successful I don't know what it did and where it deployed it.

    Any hints would be appreciated.

look at all apps (app bar in the main menu)

maybe you did unpin instead of uninstall once?

I did uninstall it and that was the problem,  once uninstalled VS seems unable to install it again.  I just scrapped the project and started a new project and then everything was back to normal
