Windows 8 Consumer Preview not connecting to campus network

Recently put windows 8 on my asus Ux31E-dh52 and I can connect to every other network other than my schools network (North Dakota State University). I have brought my computer into the campus IT and no one there had ever used or seen windows 8 so they were not of much help. I have tried everything I can think of but it just hangs and then says windows cannot verify this server. I also am unable to right click on the secured server to edit the properties and I did not do anything to dis-allow this.
I have tried the solution at this link http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/windowsdeveloperpreviewgeneral/thread/79b4d1e4-1bf7-46d1-a1bb-628a471bd8fc however in my Device Manager I do not have the "Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter" to disable. Any help is appreciated as I am sure I am not the only person with this problem!
Thanks

Hi Ryan,
This forum is for developers to discuss writing Metro style apps for Windows 8. It is not a forum for general consumer discussion of the Windows Consumer Preview.
For general consumer support please go to the Windows 8 Consumer Preview Microsoft Answers community.
