Need for "Soft" windows button on metro UI

Question

Hi,

I was investigating the windows 8 metro UI and came across this problem in which if I launch any application using the metro UI on a touch screen that does not have a physical windows button, I am unable to get back to the metro launcher without using the keyboard.

It would he good to have a soft windows button on the screen to solve the problem.

If you move the mouse pointer to the bottom left corner the charms menu appears which has a Start charm that takes you back to the main Metro screen.

Using touch, you can swipe from the right edge of the screen to bring up the charms bar - from there, you can press the start button to return to the metro launcher.
