In the DTM test there is one test title System-USB Test

This test checks to see if there are any USB 2.0 ports exposed. One or two required depending on the system is laptop or desktop.

In the configuration there are only two USB 3.0 ports exposed but no USB 2.0 ports exposed. IS this test applicable to this configuration.

Does the test know if there are any USB 2.0 exposed ports before it does the test and reports a failure?. In my case this test fails. How does it check to see if there are any USB 2.0 ports exposed?

Every USB 3 host controller also exposes USB 2 and USB 1 ports.  It is
required to do so.  Without that, you could not plug in any USB 2 devices,
and no one would buy your product.  The test is applicable.

Tim Thanks for the reply. Yes I agree the plugging in the device in USB 3 port should make the test pass however currently it is failing even though the USB 3 ports are functionaly Ok with then USB 2 devices conencted.  I will look into it more to figure out why it is reporting a failure instead.
