Answered Visual Studio 2010 Isolated Shell Splash

The Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 SDK EULA states, in section: Developing for the Visual Studio Shell:

Visual Studio Shell (Isolated) - Product Information.  You will not alter or hide our Visual Studio sub-branding in the corner of the splash screen of the Visual Studio Shell (Isolated), and you will supply your own primary branding for your programs that work in conjunction with Visual Studio Shell (Isolated) to indicate to your customers that such programs are yours.

The art work put into our transparent splash screen image is spectacular.  However, the sub-branding ('Powered by Visual Studio') is somewhat of an eyesore (sorry); as it just floats there due to the outer transparency.  Is there any way for us to remove the sub-branding from the corner of the splash screen and incorporate it into our actual splash image?

    Hi Darrick.

The splash screen requirements are pretty clear as you see; moving the "Powered By" box is something you'd need legal approval for. If you want to follow up, please contact me offline at matt-kaufman at hotmail dot com
