Where can I find descriptions of toolbox items

Question

I must have missed it, but there must be a way to obtain documentation on each of the items in the toolbox.

Hi,

you should provide the technology you're working with, because the toolbox items are different if your using for example ASP.NET, WPF, or Silverlight.

Try selecting the toolbox item and pressing F1.

When I do that I get nothing but general help on the Toolbox.  I would like to get a description of the selected item and perhaps some guidance on its use.

That means the control provider didn't provide help for that control.  Which controls are you trying to get descriptions for?  The WPF/Silverlight controls that ship in the box with VS?

No, but I have discovered that F1 works for most items of interest to me.  I had chosen several obscure items to cause my puzzlement.  Thank you.
