Don't know about selenium, but TFS Coded UI supports ASP.NET just fine. As for the telerik controls, I believe they do support it, but you might want to check with Telerik support on that.

I have used VSTS and Telerik test Studio to do web test automation and Silverlight UI Automation for many years. VSTS 2010 is a good tool of testing ASP.NET pages. If you want to test Silverlight, unluckily, coded UI test doesn’t support Silverlight 5. You need to use Telerik test Studio to test Silverlight 5.

Per my understanding, Selenium can’t handle https with Windows Auth popup nicely (Painful). Both tools can handle it easily. Why not use both tools for automation?

You can use Telerik's WebAii dll with your VS Coded UI automation to access Telerik components, and thus avoid the cost of purchasing the Tererik Test Studio.  Just an FYI.  WebAii is a free download from Telerik's site.
