    When I try to profile my projects, it seems to work until I close the program and VS tries to load the .VSP from the profiling session.  Then it crashes:

    I get the same thing if I try to load the .VSP.  Is this a known issue?  It happens for me with just a new project:

    (1) Start new project in VS2008 (I used VB Windows Forms project template).
    (2) Create profiling session (Analyze - Launch Performance Wizard - Next - Next - Finish)
    (3) Start profiling (Analyze - Profiler - Launch with Profiling)
    (4) Close form
    -> crash, restart VS
    (5) try to open the .VSP
    -> crash

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hello,

    Thanks for reporting the issue. But We could not reproduce it following the steps above with Visual Studio 2008 Team System on Windows 7. Please try to reinstall .NET Framework and see if that still happens or upgrade Visual Studio to 2010 edition.

    Please don't hesitate and tell us if there are any question!
    Thanks a lot!

    I'm getting the same problem in VS 2010 SP1. As soon as I exit the application being debugged, VS crashes. I managed to save the vsp file by clicking on Save just before it crashes. Then when I open VS again and manually open the vsp file, it once again crashes. Really annoying since I can't use the profiler at all.
