    .............................................................................................................................................

I had Windows Vista Home Premium x86 (I believe SP1) installed on my laptop
Compaq Presario F700. I installed VS 2010 Beta 1 on my computer and it worked
just fine. Then I decided to upgrade to Windows 7 RC. I did and everything
worked fine. Then when I tried to run VS 2010 it wouldn't do anything. No
error, no new window created, no flicker, no nothing. I decided maybe it
would be best to try to reinstall VS. I ran the Reinstall/Repair wizard and
it failed. I then uninstalled VS which succeded. Then I tried to reinstall VS
and it failed. I do remember cancelling the installation during one of my
attempts. I also did have VS 2008 Pro installed on my computer which I never
attempted to use on Windows 7 RC. I uninstalled it thinking that maybe that
    might help. It didn't.

During my attempts I tried installing the .NET 4.0 Beta 1 framework manually
from the microsoft download because I thought that that might be what was
causing the problems. This installed successfully but VS still fails.

I've looked around for a solution to this and in doing so I have cleaned my
registry using a registry cleaner. Still no luck.

The exact error I recieve in the Error log is:

Error: Installation failed for component Microsoft Help 3.0 Beta 1. MSI
    returned error code 1603

Please help, If you need any more information please don't hesitate to ask.

    hi

It seem that you have problems but you did not say what is your ram physical memory and hard desk .

Any way in fact what you need to do is Clean install ion and it seem that you trying to upgrade windows without realizing  that every windows has go it deferent Environment and there for you cannot take salt fish to live in sweet water .

In fact at the outset first installation you wear fine but the crash came is when you did upgrade is during installed > uninstalled  than installed

Registry cleaned that's enough because in the  system  their is

    HKEY- Classes

    Invalid active

    Scripted behavior

And the most impotent is what we call it shell and infect shell go’s   via  path and daren’t  vestibule  we don’t see it and even if we see it  Uninstaller will not take it of the system that easy so there you need god cline   aloes installed windows in deferent Environment IE from Vista to Windows 7 RC

Make sour not to upgrade but make it fresh  and boot from the CD

Now  we need to make your laptop cline and fresh just it like it came from the factory

You can download  Reg RegSeeker 1.55 Seeker 1.55

    http://www.hoverdesk.net/freeware.htm

    it is free

after download  if you have Registry cleaned do that and then go to reg seeker and in top left cornier you will see  find registry past or write

    NET 4.0 Beta 1 framework

    Search

Microsoft Visual Studio ( you have to mansion the name * v

    Search

    Restart

Go to c drive open and look to see if any is stele left over if you see it  past the name go back to reg seeker  and start again past the name

    Search

You can do search tow time no harm

Then go to clean registry  not fined …

Clean registry and please do not tray to change the setup of reg seeker it been  setup and modify I meen don’t you use or tick on ( invalid services ) because it wiil harm the system  and it my take  some necessary valid active

Restart your laptop problems have started during  when you attempts cancelling the cancelling the installation will the system is running and that’s what harm the pc  because  it left some shall over and you cancelling the re installation have make inconstant categories in the system

Error code 1 indicates that some package is not applicable on the system, due to beta product or corrupted registry
double check if you have installed any prereleased (beta or CTP) versions on the machine, remove them first.

Now you can  installed fresh  one on the correct environment

Explain how the work of the boot device

Start talking about the boot sector boot sector

Is the first sector of the hard disk (cylinder: 0, head: 0) I have on my work for the restoration of the system BIOS reset the start of the operation of the device and then examine the first sector of the disk, whether floppy disk, or as the core of BIOS settings and when the first boot signature found in favor of starting the download sector size of 512 bytes to the memory in the title of 7c00 to 0 and then enter the code written in the boot sector, boot sector of the control operation.

    Usefulness of boot sector code

Can do anything in this code is usually the heart of loading the operating system OS Kernel and given him control

    What is the boot signature

When the first BIOS examines each sector of the disk Bebges signature on the signature refers to the existence of a boot, this is the footprint 0AA55h

Hope that might help and you will have osculation for your problems
