VSDBCMD support for SQL2012 please

I'm writing to petition Microsoft to create a new build of VSDBCMD for those of us that cannot immediately upgrade to SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT), but require SQL2012 deployment compatibility with VSDBCMD.
Please follow up on this thread if you agree.

Hi ajhuddymsdn,
As far as I know that the database deployment feature in the VS11 Beta is different from that in VS2010. When you open one database project (.dbproj) which is created with VS2010 in VS11 Beta, you will actually upgade it to .sqlproj file which is the database project type of SSDT. And as far as I know that there is no new version of vsdbcmd.exe included in SSDT. And LPackage is the replacement for vsdbcmd.exe for SSDT projects. See: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh550080(VS.103).aspx
Thanks.

Hi Vicky,
I'm not really concerned about SSDT with this post. I'm trying to raise the issue that VSDBCMD has been deprecated and will no longer deploy to a SQL2012 server. I see no reason why Microsoft can't provide a new build of VSDBCMD so we can continue to use our VSDBCMD deployment utilities over the next few years.
VSDBCMD's replacement is sqlpackage (see my post: http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/ssdt/thread/01da9541-ec2d-49f3-a501-df1020c57821/)
Sqlpackage seems to work great (if not better) than VSDBCMD, but the main sticking point for me is that it is not supported on XP systems.

Hi ajhuddymsdn,
I am sorry that vsdbcmd does not support for us to deploy database project to SQL2012, however, you can achieve that with VS2010 and you need to install SQL Server Data Tools CTP4: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/data/hh297027

Hi Vicky,
SQL Server Data Tools is not part of this discussion. What I am trying to hit home is for Microsoft to create a new build of VSDBCMD so that it will deploy to a SQL2012 server.
