I have double checked this Component ID with Orca.exe. It is {1D844339-3DAE-413E-BC13-62D6A52816B2}. How you use this component Id?
Best regards,
Bessie

The Component ID that Bessie provided is correct.
Just so you know, the presence of the Outlook PIA (and that Component ID in the MSI database) does not determine whether or not Outlook is installed. It is simply the managed wrapper exposing Outlook's programming model. You can install Outlook without the Outlook PIA.
What I would do (which isn't necessarily the best approach) is look for something like outlook.exe which has the following Component ID's based on architecture:
{CFF13DD8-6EF2-49EB-B265-E3BFC6501C1D} 32-bit
{ECCC8A38-7855-46CA-88FB-3BAA7CD95E56} 64-bitFor those that stumble across this thread looking for Office 2010 PIA Component ID's the list is as follows:
{EA7564AC-C67D-4868-BE5C-26E4FC2223FF} Excel
{4153F732-D670-4E44-8AB7-500F2B576BDA} InfoPath
{1D844339-3DAE-413E-BC13-62D6A52816B2} Outlook
{EECBA6B8-3A62-44AD-99EB-8666265466F9} PowerPoint
{3EA123B5-6316-452E-9D51-A489E06E2347} Visio

Monday, September 19, 2011 6:28 PMSee http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff937654.aspx, it has a list of the Office 2010 ComponentID values. In cases like this please start a new thread rather than trying to piggy-back on a thread that's over a year old. It will be more likely to be seen and answered."et-Cliff" <=?utf-8?B?ZXQtQ2xpZmY=?=> wrote in message news:f363102a-da13-451e-9c9b-e6c1cc2c79e1...
