Opening a macro excel from VSTO

Question

Hi,

I have one excel with macro. When I open that excel macro runs automatically on startup. I need to perform few verification on this excel (test data will be available for this) Is it good idea to use VSTO for this ? if yes, how can I do that ?

I'm not sure about the mean of "I need to perform few verification on this excel (test data will be available for this)". Would you clarify it?

It's based on my exception that either VSTO or VBA can handle most of the issues of Excel. VBA is enough to handle your issue if you needn't use .NET Farmework's assemblies in your issue. If you will use .NET Framework's assemblies such as WinForm, WPF etc. to handle some complex issue, I would recommend you use VSTO.
