install VSS in Server and Client Machine

Question

hi,

I have install VSS 6.0 in Server and Client Machine separately but How the both machine(Server and Client) are linked .......

Means How the Users and Database managed by Server Machine...?

Hi Ritesh,

On the server machine, you can log in VSS as administrator, create a database, add VSS users and set permissions properly for these users in Visual SourceSafe Administrator. Also, please make sure that you give the permission to the users to access the database. 

After you set these up on the server machine, users can connect to the database from client machines.

i want to install new setup visual source safe 2005 server and client.

i have search on internet setup guide i am not getting anywhere.where i can get  visual source safe 2005 client setup or server or client setup include with visual studio 2005 setup please tell me where i can get both setup
