I have been using Visual Studio 2010 with a product key provided to me by the company I was developing software for. I recently bought my own copy of Visual Studio 2010. Is there a way to change the product key on the copy I have loaded on my computer to my product key or do I have to unload the previous version and load my copy of Visual Studio 2010.

This section is for MSDN Subscription relate queries and feedback. But to answer to your question here is the solution.
Change the serial number after Visual Studio 2010 installation
Go to Control Panel -> Programs and Features, locate and highlight Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate/Premium/Professional installation, and click on Uninstall/Change button.
Upgrade Visual Studio 2010 Product Key for Activation
A Visual Studio setup maintenance screen should be shown. After clicking Next button, an option to enter a valid serial number to upgrade product license is available.
Enter the upgrade key accordingly, and click on Activate button. No re-installation required.

Thanks for your post.
Actually, if the license for your company is available for you, I don't think you need to change it because you are still licensed user. And prathaprabhu's first solution will not work on your case because your license haven't expired so you won't see upgrade window from control panel->setup.
Common step for change the key is to uninstall VS2010 and reinstall the trial version then type your new key.
You can also refer to prathaprabhu's second workaround if you need to distribute your key to your setup so that you do not need to type it the next time. This solution has also been written from this blog http://blogs.msdn.com/b/astebner/archive/2007/11/09/6031108.aspx
Hope the info can help.
