Is there a way to disable the docking interface in visual studio 2010. I find it really annoying every time I move a window that huge cross appears and all the other things. Visually it is really distracting and a way to get rid of it would be really helpful right now.

Oh, that's a shame, perhaps it could be an idea for a later release because the process is very 'in ones face', unsightly and annoying.

    Thanks though.

Hi me oh my, have you tried setting the window to use "Floating" mode? You can do that by right-clicking the title bar of the window and selecting "Floating".

That does not show the huge cross on the screen, is this what you are looking for?

    Hi me oh my,

    Welcome to the MSDN forum.

Could you please tell me if the "huge cross" is the one in the middle of the my screenshot?

In fact, it is a tool which can help you choose the dock position.

If you think this tool is unsightly and annoying, I suggest you post your idea here
