Problem with KB2740066 package when installing VS Express for Windows Desktop

Hi,

While installing the newest Visual Studio Express for Windows Desktop I got the error that tells me that there is a problem with the KB2740066 package. Does any of you got similiar problems with it? I want to install it on Windows 7, maybe that is the issue.

Do you have SP1 for Windows 7 installed? If not, do that first.

Did you use the web installer? If so, try the full ISO download and install locally.

If the ISO install fails, please provide the complete install log set using the technique I described earlier.

The error 0x80070001 means error_label_unreadable. Please follow MVP's instruction to fix.

Please start a new thread. Your issue may appear to be similar to the OP's, but as your system configuration is almost certainly different, it's very unlikely the solutions will be identical.
