    I am receiving a series of messages when I clicked on a .sln file after getting latest version in Visual Studio 2008

    1. The project file <path / filename > cannot be opened.
        1.1. The project type is not supported by this installation.
    clicking on Ok the another msg

    2. The project file <path / filename > cannot be opened.
        1.2. The project type is not supported by this installation.

    ...

    I have following installed on my PC

    1. Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3
    2. Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0
    3. Microsott Silverlight 2.0
    4. Microsoft Team Foundation Server MSSCCI Provider 2.0
    5. Microsoft Visual Studio 2008 Team Explorer
    6. Microsoft Vosia; Stidio Team System 2008 Team Suite
    7. Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 SP!
    8. Microsoft Windows SDK for Visual Studio 2008 SP1

    What kind of project is it? What's the exact error message? Have you upgraded your Visual Studio 2008 to SP1?

    It is ASP.Net Web Application Project.
    Yes I have upgraded Visual Studio 2008 to SP1

    Even I have reset and exported other setting from tools menu, but still geting the messages.
