Beantwortet Downgrading from VS 2010 Ultimate to Premium

Hi, I had trial version of Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate edition installed in my computer. When the trial expired, I got a key from my manager (which was for Premium Edition) and tried using it, but got invalid key error.

Looks like there is no option to downgrade from Ultimate to Premium without reinstalling, so I installed VS 2010 Premium (without uninstalling Ultimate). After the installation, if I try to open VS, it opens Ultimate version and asking for key again.

I am not sure how to open VS premium edition. If I look at the C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0\ folder I see both Ultimate and Premium folders, but there is only one Common7/devenv.exe, which points to Ultimate edition.

My question is how to open VS premium edition? Do I have to uninstall the Ultimate edition?

    Thanks

I resolved it. I uninstalled the Ultimate edition and now the Premium edition works.

It seems that system will always open the upper version VS by default.
