VS studio 2008 service pack 1 fails error: 12180

Question

 I am trying to install VS studio 2008 service pack 1 

WinHttpDetectAutoProxyConfigUrl failed with error: 12180
Final Result: Installation failed with error code: (0x80190194).

can any one know how to get read off it.

Welcome to the MSDN fourm.

Your error 0x80190194 actually means "BG_E_HTTP_ERROR_404", this error always means that you cannot download the package or something else. Anyway, you need to check for your network for detail.

I recommend you download the package from this site as a standalone package to install

Tell me if you can install it successfully.
