After installing the VS11 Preview I get the below error in both VS11 and VS10 at startup. Can some one give me a hand on what to do to resolve this?
Thank you,
Tom Heflin

Hello Tom,
As far as I know that you can't have side by side installation for VS11 Developer Preview and VS11 Beta. As you have installed VS11 Developer Preview, I think you need to first uninstall it before you install VS11 Beta.
In addition, if you would like to install VS11 beta and VS2010 side by side, it is recommended for you install VS2010 first and then install VS11 beta edition.
Thanks.

Vicky,
I have the VS11 Beta installed not the Dev Preview. I installed VS10 long before the VS11 Beta, and the VS10 has SP1 applied.
Thank you,

Hello Thomas,
Based on your description, it seems that after you installed VS11 Beta, you can't open neither VS11 or VS2010.
And in my opinion, it is possible for you install VS11 Beta along with VS2010 on the same machine. Do you get any errors during your VS11 Beta installation? And if you reinstall VS11 Beta will you get the same error again?
Thanks.

Wednesday, March 07, 2012 2:54 PMNo errors during installation and I removed VS11 and still got the error in VS10. I have reinstalled VS11 and the error persists.

Monday, March 12, 2012 6:19 PMIf you install Visual Studio and then the WDK. You will want to uninstall the WDK before un-installing Visual Studio. However uninstalling it after wards seems to resolve this error message as well for some people.
