Dear All,
Can any one tell me How does and on what basis MTM calculates Test Points, Test Result and Bugs from the Stories Overview Report?
I have a test plan with single configuration(Windows XP and IE 8) and have 69 test cases associated with 8 tasks(Have created 8 tasks first and wrote 69 test cases and associated required 67 test cases with the defined tasks). In this case what will be my Test Points?
Does Test Result is the percentage of Successful and Failed testcases?
Is the Bugs(Active/Resolved) are displayed in percentage basis?

the number of testpoints for a test is equal to the number of test configurations you have enabled for it.

Hello Nivedita,
Does that mean, when i have one test configuration and 50 test case in it, my test point will be 50?
Also, if i have one more test configuration and that is not associated with my current test plan what will be my test points?

Yes you are correct. Test points in the report is the total of test case x configurations = TCC then all TCC added up. Example:
6 test cases of which 3 have 2 configurations (6) and 3 have only 1(3) = Test Points would be 6 + 3 = 9
