I have used a parameter to identify the verbiage that should be the expected results of an action.  However, the verbiage is longer than the available space for parameters in the test run.  How can I see all of the verbiage within my test run?

    Hi SLC-IC,

    Thank you for your post.

According to your description of the issue, I suppose you want to use a parameter to get the content of Expected Result field of test case steps. If I have misunderstood anything, please free feel to let me know.

In order to narrow down the issue, would you please share the detail steps you use to get the content, and some other information like screen shot.

I hope this information will help resolve this issue.

If anything is unclear, please free feel to let me know.

    Best regards,

    Lily,

When doing a test run, I conduct one of the actions in the test case and the expected result is verbiage that I expect to see in a message in the application.  However, the full text is cut off in the Expected Result field, so I am not able to verify that the message is correct in the application.  Here is a screenshot of the Action and Expected Result:

    Hi SLC-IC,

    Thank you for your response.

I simulate the issue by type a long pragraphy for a test step Excepted Result, then run the manual test case. The result in my side is Excepted Result is as same as what i type before, MTM can show all the excepted result out. The following screen shot is the result.

Thanks for showing me how it would work putting the verbiage in the expected result.  Do you have any suggestions on how to handle the issue if I have multiple iterations with slightly different messages as the expected result?  I would hate to have to break the items out into different test cases if it isn't necessary.

    Thanks.

Hi, You could seperate multiple expected results with "/", "OR", etc

    Thanks,
