Hi,
After creating an Environment, MTM 2012 proceeds with updating the 2012 test agent. This causes a error:
Environment message: Type=Error; Message=TF259098: Team Foundation Server could not perform the following operation because of errors on one or more virtual machines: Update environment. Resolve those errors, and then try the operation again.;
Machine messages:
Machine name: <withheld by poster>
Machine message: Type=Error; Message=Microsoft Test Manager could not complete the following action: Configuring the test agent.
Additional information: TF260946: The Test Agent Installer service could not configure the test agent and the agent returned the following message:
Exception : Index (zero based) must be greater than or equal to zero and less than the size of the argument list.
. Wait a few minutes and then click 'Repair/Install Agents'. If the issue persists, use the Environment Viewer to connect to the machine and configure the test agent manually.
Error code: 0;
Thank you,
John

Hi John,
Thank you for your post.
Does the issue occur after you upgrade MTM to MTM 2012?
Would you please more information about the environment that you created? What's the version of test agent run on the environment machine?
Please let us know the detail steps you have down.
Any detail event log?As the log mentioned:
1. Try to click 'Repair/Install Agents'.
2. If the issue persists, use the Environment Viewer to connect to the machine and configure the test agent manually.Regards,

John,
I ran into the same error. Doing repair like suggested below, most likely will not work. Try disabling User Account Control on the test machine and re-registering test agent with the test controller.
