Hi,
I am trying to execute my test cases on the remote test agent using RDP session. We kept the window in the restore mode to run the test cases in back ground, because it started breaking test cases if i minimize the window screen. Main problem occur when i tried to execute the Nightly run using same method, I found that machine was locked out by itself after some time and all the test cases failed to execute.
One thing i understand it may be happening because of group policy which is locking the machine after some time assuming it is ideal session.
Is there any way to tackle this kind of issue ?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance

Sarvesh:
Are you executing the tests on a virtual environment or physical environment?
If you are using virtual environments, make sure that you take a snapshot of the environment when you are connected to the machine from a host-based connection (and not an RDP connection). Also, configuring the test agent to run as process has options to disable screensaver and to auto-logon. With the combination of these options, when you restore your environment to that snapshot during your nightly runs, the machine will automatically be in the correct unlocked state.
If you are using physical environments, then you will have to take care of ensuring that the screen on the machine where you are running the test does not get locked after a duration of time. Running interactive tests requires the screen to be unlocked. Is your test agent configured to run tests in interactive mode? Also, as part of that configuration have you checked the options to disable screen saver and enable auto-login?
