GAT/Gax 2010 rtm Is using this tools a black art?

Question

Hi,

I am using Visual studio 2010 and where I work we would like to automate creating certain projects and Item templates.

I want to find out whether GAT/Gax is the right tools to use.

I have searched on the net and could not find any tutorial on GAT/Gax and seems to me like a black art and something very difficult to master as there is no documentation on how to create anything.Am I wrong?

I know that some software factories have used it and I would like to create something similar.Is there a small tutorial ,blog etc.. that takes you through how to create something from scratch eg generate a class etc.. and then I can build from there on.
