Choosing the right forum for your topic

This forum (Visual Studio Editor) covers questions related to the core text/code editor *only*. This includes issues related to typing, scrolling, IntelliSense, tooltips, syntax coloring, outlining, etc., as well as editor extensibility. It does NOT include questions of the form, "How do I write code to accomplish XYZ task in language Foo?".
For topics that are language-specific, database-related, or involve any type of designer surface, debugger, compiler, etc., please start with the forums listed below:
