Menus in VS 2012 broken

All of the menus in Visual Studio 2012 display in all caps, regardless of the titles assigned to the menus in the Customize... dialog. The only fix I was able to find was to modify the devenv binary itself.

This was done by design. That being said, there's a NuGet package to handle this: http://feed.nuget.org/packages/VS2012.RemoveAllCaps
If you install that package, you can swap that behavior on and off at will.

There is a registry setting too.
Launch regedit and navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software
\Microsoft\VisualStudio\11 .0\General
Create a DWORD value named SuppressUppercaseConversio
