    I have seen a lot of complaints of VS 2012's UI. I was wondering if the icons are customizable? Then one can change them to their liking or download ready made ones by others?

      No - at least not at this point.  You have the light/dark theme as options, but that's it.

        I think Microsoft should have made them customizable noting all the backlash since the beta. They can't make everyone happy but if the icons were customizable, all the complainers could have changed them. Visual Studio has a ton of extensibility points. I don't understand why they didn't extend them to the icons, SPECIALLY sooo many people expressed their discontent for months.
