Generic problem with these forums

Question

If a question gets a proposed answer, and the owner doesnt respond to it eventually some moderator will come andround and mark a response as "solving" the problem.

This is rediculous.  I can see closing items, but marking them "solved" is a different story -- epecially if this doesnt really "solve" any issue.
