    Hello,

I have got what appears to be a serious issue with my vs ide. If i try to load an existing project that included a SQL DB, the ide hangs, says not responding than closes...
If i create a new project it works fine,
if i connect to an existing DB WITHOUT using sever explorer, it works fine.
If i try to add a new db, it hangs then crashes.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled both the ide and sql server.. no change. Though the ide still knew what my recent projects were, so the uninstall didn't totally flatten it...

Has anyone any idea if this is debuggable, or how to totally flatten the installation - i have the 'Project' files backed up and can copy them back into the new projects folder...

I've got a lot of development work on this machine and am getting pretty worried... any help would be really appreciated

    Hello Lee,

    Thanks for reporting this issue.
There are many reasons for the crash issue. Since there are no problems with a new project, I would like to suspect it is  our particular project  cause it. Are there any special items/settings in our project? Are there any error messages which indicated the cause?

Since it is related to the IDE, I would like you to post it in our Visual C# IDE forum for more information if you use C#.

    Best regards,
