Crystal Reports Basic for VS 2008 Service Pack
-
Wednesday, July 08, 2009 1:00 PMI have deployed an application that uses the Crystal Reports Basic Runtime for VS 2008 using the CRRedist2008_x86.msi installer. However it is not formatting the boxes on the report correctly when the section continues to another page.
Is there a service pack to the CR Basic that may have resolved this? If so can someone provide me with a link? SAPs website is so difficult to find any Business Object related info on.
Thanks!

( It seems that Internet Explorer 8 on Windows 7 RC cannot display this page properly。Use Opera or Firefox. )
You can download Crystal Reports Basic for VS 2008 Service Pack 1 and Redistributable package.
I don't know whether the problem that you have is solved.- Edited by SweetSmile Friday, July 17, 2009 9:35 AM

SAP does not give patches for crystal reports embed in VS.Net
Its hot fix only for separate version.
If there is a CR Basic patches ,it will be posted by MS,not SAP.
Can you catch a screen to show what's wrong ? -

Sorry, I changed URL.
Go to https://websmp130.sap-ag.de/sap/bc/bsp/spn/bobj_download/main.htm.
In Selection Criteria section,
select Crystal Reports from Software Product and
select Crystal Reports .NET from Product Version (optional) and
click search buttom.
You will get downloadable files list.

The only time I have run into this I had more than 80 sections in a particular area. 81 sections in a details, 81 sections in a group footer. You can only go up to "CB" in the section name.
Of course that assumes that you are loading the report from the correct path. Try loading a basic report with no data connection. Just a simple label field. -

Hi af80,
thanks for the reply.
My reports are now working. In my case the problem was because of .RPT files. The setup project is not able to find them.
When i manually added these .RPT files, it works now.
thanks -

Hello,
I have installed Visual Studio 2008 Team System and I don't see any option to install Crystal Reports ?!See here two screen captures
At install time, the options I see are these:
+Microsoft Visual Studio Team System 2008
+ Language Tools
+ Enterprise Tools
+Dotfuscator Community Edition
+Tools for Redistributing Applications
+Team Developer and Tester Tools
+Team Database Edition
Please help.
P.S.
Meanwhile I've found the reason why the Crystal Reports does not appear as an installation option!
On the same computer where I wanted to install Microsoft Visual Studio Team System 2008, there is also installed Visual Studio 2005!
I tried to install Microsoft Visual Studio Team System 2008 on a clean machine, and now Microsoft Visual Studio Team System 2008 is showing the Crystal Reports Basic for Visual Studio 2008 as an installation option.
