Help connecting table to Datbase Fields in Field Explorer of Crystal Reports

Question

   I have created a table manually in the xsd for my dataset. The new Table shows up in the Data Sources under the dadaset but it does not show up in the Crystal Reports Data fields. When I try to add the new table using the Database Expert, I can not find the new table.
   I think I need to make a connection to the new table but I can't see how.
Can you help?
