Tips about Convert MTS or M2TS on Mac.

have often seen people asking questions like I have a Sony HDR-SR5, or some other AVCHD camcorders such as Canon HF11, JVC GZ-HD10, Panasonic HDC-SD5, etc, but I failed to import the video files copied from my camcorder in the format of .mts or .m2ts for playback on my iPod, iPhone, or some other common used mobile players, is there anyone can give me some suggestions? Question like this seems endless, for there are always people keeping asking these similar questions without an end. This time when I read this question, I couldn’t stop myself giving you people a solution.

Firstly I should tell you that most portable devices can not read .mts or .m2ts files directly, if you want to play them on your mobile devices like iPod, iPhone, etc. without trouble, you have to convert them into their acceptable format like MP4 previously.
This article aims to tell you how to convert MTS or M2TS to iPod, iPhone, etc. compatible formats with Pavtube MTS/M2TS Converter for Mac. If you are an above question asker, please read on the following step-by-step guide at will.

AVCHD video is compressed in MPEG-4 AVC/H.264 format, and it supports 720p, 1080i, 1080p, etc. At the same time, AVCHD audio is stored in compressed form Dolby AC-3. Well, what is the relationship between AVCHD and MTS/M2TS? If you are attentive enough, you will find AVCHD is with file extension .mts on camcorder and with .m2ts after import to computer.

Hi,

When you design a custom control or a user control, you can define properties with Attributes to be able to access the property via the designer in Visual Studio. So if it's a string, you can set the value of the string directly in the property screen. I'm wondering how do I get the same behavior with a collection.

For example, if we consider a combobox, you can edit the items as a string collection, I would like to know how I can get such behavior with my own control.

Problem saving files with Visual Studio 2008

Hi,

I have Windows 7 Enterprise and Visual Studio 2008 Team System. Problem occurs when I change a file with vs and hit Cntr+s or click save button. Visual Studio seems not to be able to save the file and opens "save file as" dialog. This happens with all files and when I press cancel in dialog and retry saving about three times it finally saves the file normally! If I try to overwrite the file within save file as dialog access is denied. My user account have required privileges for these projects and files.

I have tried to explore file lock with process explorer but there's no existing handle?

Please help, this is really annoying!!

Dynamic enumerator?

Hi,

I have an enumerator class in my .net application, which contains a list of hard-coded values. There is an object of this enumerator class in a web service, whose request is in the form of an xml message.

public enum EnumClass
{
   abc,
   xyz,
   pqr,
   ben
}

My xml request has a parameter Identifier, which should contain either of the values mentioned in the enum class. However, I have a requirement where in I want the enum class to carry values dynamically, say, by selecting values from a database table.

For eg: my web service request class has been defined as

public Request
{
   public string UID;
   public string Password;
   public EnumClass Identifer;
   public int NoOfIdentifiers;
}

The XML request coming to my webservice should contain the above 4 parameters. In the request, the Identifer value has to be one among the four from EnumClass. However, i can have a request where there is a new Identifer being sent to the webservice which is available in a database table.
Hence, in this scenario, i will not be able to use the static enum class.

Please suggest best method to do away with the static enum class and have dynamic values in the class that gets the values from the database. Your help will be much appreciated!!

Help with class creation Namespace and output directory from Class Designer

Forgive me if this is obvious, but I can't find any documentation on how to do this. I'm working on upgrading our billing system, so I'm creating a class diagram that represents the relationship between all our Plans. I want my classed to be generated with the namespace "Common.Model.Plan" and have the .cs file output into the directory ${projectdir}\Model\Plan. However, I can't seem to find this setting in my class diagram properties as changing the custom namespace value in my diagrams properties it still produces a file with just the "Common" namespace in the base of my project, not it the namespace sub directory.

Walkthrough on class designer

I can't find a good walkthrough on using the class designer. The library has lots of How Tos but they are circular and never show an in depth example of using the designer to create a new class or module or any of the other choices. I looked at the channel 9 programs but a walkthrough is much more useful.

Can anybody point me to an in depth article or walkthrough?

What UML tools are recommended to use for .NET and VS 2008?

Are there something like RationlRose for .NET? Using "Rational Rose 2003" I haven't find a "C#" model, by eg...
there are also IBM's Rational Rose Developer for Visual Studio, but it has "limited integration with VS 2003 and 2005"...

I am not shure if this tool should or not to be integrated in VS, I think isn't important...
What do you use?

By the way, I would like if possible to import VS class diagrams (.cd) to the UML environment.

Hi I use visual studio 2005 for architects and come across application,logical, deployment diarams . 1. Is it possiable to use vs2005 architects edition to model the windows apps with many servers & clients (lan-wide message communication system). 2. And then to generate the code automatically. I typically intend to use WCF reliable communication for this. Will VS 2005 support this feature ? If so, pls show some light on this. VS2008 class lib with typed Dataset, rename Namespace

Hi,
I have a class lib project that I've updated from Net 2.0 -> 3.5 which was just fine. Thought I should change NameSpace aswell, right click->proj properties-> default namespace. VS2008 works for a while then I get a list of errors - mostly in the XSD files for my typed datasets. When I look at the XSD files, they are ruined, looks like they have been cut off.

I have SP1 for VS2008 installed and my OS is Win 7 x64 RTM.

How do I change namespace on a project that uses typed datasets?

1. How to import Sony HDR MTS files into mac
What you need: A 6 pin or 4 pin cable. Usually, camcorders usually need a 4 pin cable end in order to be able to connect to the Mac, although sometimes they might allow a 6 pin end as well.
Step 1, Make sure your camcorder is set to the correct mode for importing photos and videos. For information on which mode to choose, see the instructions provided with your camcorder. Can anyone explain why hotkeys do not show up on VS.NET form buttons?

Buttons on my forms all have hotkeys during design mode but when the program is executing the button appears as
Print instead of Print (with the P underlined).
Underlined symbol will appear, when you press Alt button.

i have been charged to research the possibility of restarting an SSIS package after it has come across as error. i understand that if you use checkpoints that you still have to manually restart the package. i was thinking of having the package kick out the bad records to a flat file and then the package would restart on its own. so is there a way for a package to restart on its own with? i would like to know some ideas that can point me in a direction.

I own a copy of Visual Studio 2008 STANDARD.

I have a need to make Class libraries (equivalent of DLL Libraries) that I can compile for both 32 bit and 64 bit environments.

My VS 2008 compiler does not offer me the necessary compile options to make what I need to do. They are just, I believe, 32 bit only.

I know I need to buy a higher level version of VS 2008, but what level, to get the necessary compile options?

Consume Wcf using Visual C++ 6.0

As am trying to consume a Wcf Service which is created using C# in Visual studio 3.5. In between there is also created a bridge dll project which is added a wrapper class to the MFC application.

Am able to access the dll application and call Wcf function from my consumer (MFC). But there is a error generated at run time saying COULD NOT CONNECT TO REMOTE SERVER.

Am looking for a earliest reply. Many thanks in adv.

CONSUMING WCF USING C++

Am a trying to consume a wcf Service using visual studio 6.0.

1) I have created a wcf Service.
2) Have created a C# dll project which is added with a service reference of the wcf created.
And this is used as a bridge between the Server and Client.

3) And the client(Consumer) is created in Visual Studio 6.0 and added with a dll to create the wrapper class of the dll project.

Now am able to access all the bridge project (dll project) functions. And when calling the function which is calling a Service function. It says could not connect to a remote Server.

Am looing for the earliest replies.

Hello

I created a project in VB.NET (MyProject1) inside I created a subfolder (MyDrawing1).
In the MyDrawing1 folder I created a class diagram.
So when designing (dragging) new classes on that diagram, the diagram creates my classes in the MyProject1 folder instead to create them in the same directory. :(

I have the same named files in the main folder and there is a namespace problem too :( ... I think I don't like VB

If an XML <summary> of a class contains something like <see cref="System.Double"/> then that appears literally in the tooltip on the class box in the Designer. In other locations in Visual Studio 2008, it is properly processed into System.Double before display in a tooltip, like in a code text editor.

How to make a container control not contain a particular control?

Scenario: Windows Forms application.

I have never really figured out how a control gets "contained" by which container. Most of the time it works, by dragging and making sure that a control is visually completely within the container control.

How can I then have a control that is visually within a container but not to be Added to that container? For example I have a button that I want to make it appear as belonging to different tabPages, but actually it is the same one button and I don't want it to belong to a particular TabPage. The moment I drag it to be visually in a TabPage, Designer will generate the code like: this.tabPage1.Controls.Add(this.button1). I don't want this. I want the original this.Controls.Add(this.button1) before the TabPage control was added.

having a problem with visualstudio the solution explorer

The tree is causing problems in solution explorer. It sometimes skips a few and makes blank rows.
In order to get it to behave a lot of times I have to collaps the tree and re-expand. Otherwise there are blanks.

Howto display partial class files as child items in solution tree

Hi,

I'm splitting up some of my classes into separate files because these classes are partially generated. An example of the structure is:
- MyClass.cs
- MyClass.Generated.cs
- MyClass.Constants.cs

Now, in the solution explorer, I see three items for this one class, while I would like to see the two latter files as child elements of the first one, like this:
- MyClass.cs
- MyClass.Generated.cs
- MyClass.Constants.cs
just like we see with the designer.cs and resx files for forms.

As I have quite a few of these classes, having several files listed at the same level for one single class makes it unwieldy.

Could anyone tell me how to get them indented in the solution explorer?

Identifying a File

I'm building a program that requires it to know what kind of file the user has uploaded with an openfiledialog. I'm trying to make an if statement that asks whether the file is an mp3, txt, wpd, and such...

I've built is so that the file shows in a text box, for example, C:\Docs and Settings\Accounts\Superman\files\kingkong.mp3
What I've tried to do is locate the ".mp3" part of the file, but the closest I've gotten to that was the Array function.

Can someone please help, as I've looked in the library and found nothing. Thank you in advance.

Visual Studio 2008 Designer throws E_UNEXPECTED (0x8000FFFF)

I have a winforms app using typed dataset, and it runs just fine, but I can no longer use the designer in visual studio on most of the forms or the dataset itself. I get the oh-so-helpful error "Failed to open a connection to the database. No error message available, result code: E_UNEXPECTED (0x8000FFFF)"

I think it must be failing to find the |DataDirectory| location at design-time, even though it can find it at run-time. I try using the wizard to create a new connection, and clicking the Test Connection button raises the same error.

I'm using Access, and the .accdb file is copied properly into bin/Debug. I can open it directly from there no problem. Also, the application runs fine, so it can obviously make the connection when it matters. Still, I would like to be able to configure the queries from the dataset.xsd view and I would like to be able to view the forms in design mode. Any suggestions?

problem with web developer tools in vs2008

i install in my computre vs2008 ,most of the component work fine( like windows form ans so on...)
the problem start when i open web project. so then when i try to move to design mode the all program stop work and don't responed to my command.
when i work only on the code windows evry thing work fine.
i work on win xp home edition.
under IE8.

   i am new for visual studio2008. but using visual studio 2005 since last 1 yr.
   i am developed a windows application in visual studio 2005 using .net framework 2.0 on windows XP sp2 (32 bit) system
   It works very fine on windows xp with .net 2.0 and windows 2003 server with .net 2.0 and /or 3.0
   but now i want to run it on windows server 2008 on 64 bit machine. but Stuck in it.
About application: my application usage a com component(E D P) which usage a api (Called E D P API )installed in (32 bit system) c:\windows\system32\ folder and in (if 64 bit system) c:\windows\syswow64\ folder. i am using visual basic for coding

what i did is start a new winform project in visual studio 2008 with .net 3.5 on windows server 2008 (64 bit machine) and giving reference of that api in project and then start writing code in form1.vb (below)-

Can't design a User control if not inherited directly from UserControl

Hello

I have created a BasicUserControl in my project.

All my user controls inherits from this user control

MyProjectUserControl : BasicUserControl : UserControl

My problem is that the Visual Studio (2008) Designer does not "recognize" any of MyUserControls and I cant design them in the VS designer.

How can I bypass this?

Using vs2008 and clicking on 'View class diagram' in C# project, this generate a nice class diagram. However, it does not show the argument list for each method or return value. Need this image to document a componet but without the argument list and return value I really cannot use it. Is this possible?

Form Designer displays blank screen

I have a solution with several user controls contained in a folder.

One of the user controls only displays a blank screen when you 'view designer'. I have tried to clean and rebuild.
The solution will run and the user control works without a problem but I can't alter the layout of the user control.

I believe the problem is to do with the structure

eg. one that works has the following structure

Folder
    + usercontrol1.vb
         - usercontrol1.designer.vb
         - usercontrol1.resx

Whereas the usercontrol that does not work has all 3 files listed just within the folder

I've tried to drag and drop the files but this does not work

Any help would be greatly appreciated
