    Consider there is an RTF with initial focus is on editor part of RTF control. If you move your mouse on the editor part or if you do any keyboard related activity, the pretranslatemessage function is not getting called.

      what do you mean "RTF control"? this control seems not provided by VS. so would you like to share more information about this?
