    Hi ,

I have installed test controller in a machine and test agent in a LAB machine.

I have done test controller and test agent configuration with TFS 2010.

Can some one guide me , what next steps I need to take for running the coded ui tests from TFS2010.

Note : we are using VS2010 and MTM2010

We need to run the tests remotely from TSF2010 .

    Regards,

    Laxmi

    Hi Laxmi,

If you want to run a coded UI test with the TFS:

On the Build Server, we need to run the Team Build Service Host as an interactive process, since it will coded UI Tests which interact with the desktop.

Open Team Foundation Server Administration Console, and click on the Team Foundation Build Configuration, and then we need some sets and configuration.

For detailed steps, see Mathew’s blog “Coded UI Test in a Team Build

    Reference:

Configuring a TFS 2010 Team Build Server to Run Coded UI Tests.

    Hi Jack,

Thanks for the reply . I followed your reply . Now I am getting one more issue .

I am not able to attach build to TFS2010.

I have installed the test controller , test agent and configured them with tfs2010.

IN the visual studio 2010, Test-->Windows-->Test View -->Properties , I am not able to attach work items ,as associated Automation is disabled for me. Can you please tell me , how to make "Associated Aut5omation" enable . Also Can you please guide me , how to assign build to TFS2010. I followed the MSDN blog that you have mentioned , but for me , the Assign to build page in TFS2010 is showing greyed out .

    Thanks

    Laxmi
