Flex is not supported for Action Recording. Check below link for complete list of supported Configurations and Platforms.

Hi Sandeela,
I guess you want to record a Coded UI Test on your flex application, please correct me if it is not, but seems like the flex application doesn’t support coded UI Test natively, I would suggest that you should contact with the application developer for more help against this issue.

Following are the steps:
•launch: http://www.millionclouds.com/
•click the Tell a Friend link at the right side
•Enter @username
•Enter @friendEmail address
Where @username=testname and @friendEmail=testemail@testdomain.com
These steps get recorded properly but when I rerun the test case:
•The username automatically gets typed in the browser's URL bar
•The e-mail address gets typed in the the username field of the Tell a Friend formPlease tell me if this is a limitation with MS Test Manager or if this is due to Flex based website or soemthing with the code? or any other. Is there any extension available for it or any work around?

Hi Sandeela,
As what I’ve try, this application exposed limited property and this lead to Coded UI engine hard to capture the control in it during playback.
I would suggest that you could get a try on Keyboard.SendKeys() method and check the search properties of image button control before perform click on it.
Hope this could help you.
