Design Documents

Friday, March 23, 2012 11:20 AMIs there a means to auto generated design documents from a .NET project? For instance I would like to take class documentation, class diagrams and sequence diagrams and convert them into a word document?

You have several tools to generate documentation, although most of them generates html or other forms of output.
Amongst the more well know is:
- Sandcastle http://sandcastle.codeplex.com/
- nDoc http://ndoc.sourceforge.net/
For Sandcastle there are activities to generate code documentation in your build process...

I don't think you need to do this, because many reasons, for instance the Visual Studio do this documentation using modeling and it's better than word document, it's only available for Ultimate edition but all other editions can view these diagrams.

Hello JBLENNON,
I am moving your case to the Visual Studio Visualization & Modeling Tools forum so that you can get better support there.
Thanks.
