- Sorry to interrupt but can anyone point me to where I can find Visual Studio 2010 IDE Extension downloadable samples?

I'd recommend that you download the entire Visual Studio 2010 CTP, which includes the samples. There are very significant changes in VS 2010 such that the samples will not be very helpful in previous versions Visual Studio, and trying the IDE also means you'll be able to see more of the new VS experience and share your thoughts on more of the product.
