Answered Opening and editing Visio documents sent to me by another party

    I have Visio 2010. When another party sends me a Visio document (doesn't matter what version) I can't open it. When I double click on the attachment a box appears that says open, save or cancel. I double click on open and see the floating document in the background that indicates downloading but nothing happens. I've also tried saving the docment to my desktop--same problem when I try to open it. I need to be able to open these documents and edit them, not just read them. HELP!!!!

    "a box appears that says open, save or cancel", that sounds like you're attempting to open it from the browser. The first question would be which browser. If you save the document locally can it be opened? If you're trying to open it with a browser do you have the Visio Viewer installed, and is it the latest version?
