    Just in case anyone is interested I've managed to use Velocity to create a simple chat application.  I'm sure Velocity probably wasn't intended to be used like this and I'm kinda abusing the region and tag system (my apologies to the Velocity team), but it actually works pretty well as a back end for chatting!
