AppFabric in Windows Server 8

Does Windows Server 8 contain or support Windows Server AppFabric?
We are using AppFabric Caching for our ASP.Net Session state provider running on Server 2008 R2. Although I have seen brief mentions of caching on Windows Server 8 Beta documentation, I am wondering whether it will be a part of the operaton system or supported on it. After installing the WS/8 Beta, I did not see the AppFabric dashboard within IIS. Thus I am wondering, if I should abandon the use of AppFabric within my application.
In addition, we were also considering the Visual Studio templates for hosting services within AppFabric. Now, I am not as confident.
Does anyone know hte answer?

Hi Jerry, as Arijit mentioned cache will not ship as a part of windows server 8.
As of now , AppFabric 1.1 is not supported on the Windows 8 Server Beta. We will provide guidance about running AppFabric on Windows 8 Server for customers once the final release of Windows 8 Server is available via our blog and documentations.

Hello!
Is Windows Server AppFabric dead or is it just not a part of Windows Server 8 because it'll again annoyingly be a separate package to download?
Best regards,

Henrik,
Appfabric cache is very much alive and kicking :) , its just not bundled with Windows, it doesnt affect the product features and performance in anyway.

Ankit,
OK. Do you know how it is with the other parts of Windows Server AppFabric for workflow hosting, is it also alive for the future?
Best regards,
Henrik

Hi Henrik,
The most recent release is Microsoft AppFabric Server 1.1 for Windows Server which is a separate download, available here: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?id=27115. We've delinked the release from the server OS release, so it will be a separate package to download and install.
Thanks,
