What's the best approach to migrate our Window MFC applications from V++ 6.0 using MFC 4.21 to Visual Studio 2010 using MFC 10?

Hi,

All our company applications were written in Window V++ 6.0  using MFC 4.21. Now our manager decide to migrate to Visual Studio 2010 environment using MFC 10.

What's the best approach and steps to migrate our Window MFC applications from V++ 6.0 using MFC 4.21 to Visual Studio 2010 using MFC 10?

Don't know about 'the best' approach - we migrated from VS2005 to VS2010 and most of the pain revolved around Frame windows, docking panes, menu bars and the like.  The rest seemed to go fairly smoothly.  Sure you don't want to go straight to 2011?  ;)

For the same reason you would rather migrate to 2010 instead of 2008, or 2005, or 2003....

Bear in mind that currently VC++ 2011 won't build applications that
will run on Windows XP.
